Pictures!

Updating

I am terrible and haven't kept up with the blog since Livi came home. She has kept me so busy and smiling that updating the blog is that last thing on my mind. Livi is a smart, sweet and beautiful 3 1/2 year old now. She attends preschool four days a week and loves her friends. She has the best sense of humor and never fails to make us laugh. I will try to post some pictures for anyone who may be still checking on the blog. I found out a few weeks ago that the agency we used to bring Livi home is closing. I will forever be thankful to Homeland Adoption, especially Pam and Nancy, for helping us bring our wonderful daughter home.

Wow, it's been awhile

Sorry I have posted in so long, but being a momma keeps me so busy. Livi is doing wonderful and is gaining in her development every day. I am still amazed every day that I am so lucky to have her as my daughter.

Happy Birthday Livi Xiang

Today we celebrated Livi's 2nd birthday, even though her birthday is tomorrow (at least here, however in China, it is her birthday now). We had a small party for her with just family and a couple of close friends.

Something I never realized or thought of before today was how emotional I would feel on my daughter's birthday. My thoughts have been centered a lot around her birth parents today. I pray that they know how much she is loved and I hope that helps ease the pain that I am sure they feel in their hearts everyday, but especially today, her birthday. In honor of her birth parents, Livi let go of two red balloons after her party. I am hoping to continue this tradition unless she says she does not want to do it anymore.

So, on this day and everyday, I want to thank her birth parents for giving her life so that she could be part of mine.

Happy Birthday, Livi Xiang. Momma loves you.

Olivia's First Year Home

It has almost been 6 months since my last post and I apologize. Livi definitely keeps us busy and I wouldn't have my life any other way.
