After a great weekend with my friend Linda and a wonderful baby shower (thank you Mom), we had fantastic news this morning. We officially have Travel Approval!!! That means we have approval to go and finally meet Olivia Michelle Youxiang!!! As soon as our agency makes our Consulate Appointment we can make our travel arrangements. Wooohooo!!! We should be on our way to China in two weeks!!
I received a phone call from our agency on Friday and the CCAA has agreed to process our copy of our LOA since our original was lost. Thank you to everyone who kept us in their thoughts and prayers. Now, we just need to wait for our travel approval which will hopefully be soon.
Last week I couldn't stop smiling, this week I feel like I am going to explode because I am so angry and upset. On Wednesday last week we had a doctor check Livi's medical and I then drove to Fed Ex to mail our LOA, which for those who are not familiar with adoption alphabet soup, this is the letter saying, yes, we want Livi as our daughter. So, on Friday I sent a email to my agency just making sure that they received the letter. I found out on Monday that THEY DIDN'T! But, Fed Ex stated that it was delivered to our agency's director and they had a scribbled signature. So, now we are waiting for something to happen and what that is, I have no idea. I believe our agency requested a new LOA but they also sent in a copy of the original which I faxed to them.
Please pray that our travel is not delayed because of incompetent people. I need to have my baby in my arms.
I have had a couple of people ask me where Livi is from and what her full name is. She is from Ruijin and her name will be Olivia Michelle Youxiang. She is currently in foster care and I am so thankful to know that. We received her translated information today and I loved reading about her. Now, we just need to bring her home to her forever family.
I am so happy to finally be able to share pictures of Olivia. She is from Jiangxi Province, is 10 months old and is absolutely beautiful. We are so happy to finally have pictures of our daughter!!!!! The wait has been so long but she is definitely worth the wait!
Our agency did not receive referrals today so I am not sure what is going on. They are going to check on them tonight and let us know what they find out. This has been such a long, stressful day and I really hope that tomorrow is better.
